Mormonism crumbles under the weight of contradiction when compared with the scriptures of the Holy Bible.

Since the Holy Bible preceded the Latter Day "Saint" Joseph Smith we shall view him and what he said and what he established by the scriptures, as commanded by our Saviour Jesus Christ.

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

If what we find in Mormonism does not match what we plainly read in the Bible, then it must be that there is no light in Mormonism.

Mormonism crumbles because it has

1. Jesus' birth wrong,

2. the events of His death wrong,

3. the saving gospel wrong

4. Their final authority is wrong.

Even a light examination reveals glaring errors between the Mormon final authority: The Book of Mormon; and the final authority of real Christians: the Holy Bible.

Alma 7:10 (Page 211-212 Book of Mormon)

And behold, he shall be born of Mary at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.

Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Helaman 14:20 (page 394 Book of Mormon)

But behold, as I said unto you concerning another sign, a sign of his death, behold, in that day that he shall suffer death the sun shall be darkened and refuse to give his light unto you; and also the moon and the stars; and there shall be no light upon the face of this land, even from the time that he shall suffer death, for the space of three days, to the time that he shall rise again from the dead.

Helaman 14:27 (page 395 Book of Mormon)

And he said unto me that while the thunder and the lightening lasted, and the tempest, that these things should be, and that darkness should cover the face of the whole earth for the space of three days.

Luke 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. 46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

The great Apostle Paul pronounced a curse on anyone who would preach a gospel different from the gospel he was commissioned to preach.

Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

The doctrine of baptismal regeneration, (the doctrine that baptism somehow plays a part in the regeneration of a sinner) and beyond that, the doctrine of proxy baptismal regeneration brings the entire Mormon movement under this damnation.

Paul taught that the gospel was something that you believed, not something that you had to get wet in.

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

A light reading of the Holy Scriptures and the Book of Mormon would reveal to any student of 8th grade English that the two books were certainly not written by the same author. The author of the Holy Bible was adamant about the authority of his word, whereas the author of the Book of Mormon knew that his were only the words of a man filled with doubt.

Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Mormon 9:31-33 (page 476 Book of Mormon)

31Condemn me not because of mine imperfection, neither my father, because of his imperfection, neither them who have written before him; but rather give thanks unto God that he hath made manifest unto you our imperfections, that ye may learn to be more wise than we have been. 32 And now, behold, we have written this record according to our knowledge, in the characters which are called among us the reformed Egyptian, being handed down and altered by us, according to our manner of speech. 33 And if our plates had been sufficiently large we should have written in Hebrew; but the Hebrew hath been altered by us also; and if we could have written in Hebrew, behold, ye would have had no imperfection in our record.

As Bible believers we do condemn such a fakir for trying to pass off false testimony as authoritative. We don't have to settle for second best when we have the authority of the Holy Bible.

1Nephi 19:6 (page 41 Book of Mormon)

Nevertheless, I do not write anything upon plates save it be that I think it be sacred. And now, if I do err, even did they err of old; not that I would excuse myself because of other men, but because of the weakness which is in me, according to the flesh, I would excuse myself.

We Bible believing Christians don’t excuse him. He's a false prophet!

The Holy Bible warns the reader repeatedly about false prophets like Nephi and Joseph Smith.

Jesus warned us: Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

The Apostle Paul warned us about false apostles, and demonic false angels such as the angel Moroni, and the "elders" who ride their bicycles to your door.

Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

The truth is not as hard to understand as the lie the Mormons are trying to foist upon their victims. They must work hard to verbally weasel out of the plain statements of the Holy Bible when compared to the Book of Mormon.

Do not follow their pernicious ways. Salvation is found in the simple acceptance by faith of the Gospel of Christ. There is no baptism to it.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth......

Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Won't you trust in the risen Christ today?

Perhaps you can pray a prayer like this, and in faith receive this Jesus as your own Saviour.

"Father, I know I'm a sinner, and I know I deserve to go to hell, but please don't send me to hell..I'm sorry for my sins. I turn from false religion to receive Jesus Christ as my all sufficient Saviour. I trust His shed blood on the cross of Calvary. His death , His burial and His resurrection to wash away my sins. This is all I need to be saved. Thank you for saving me, help me to live like a Christian and receive the blessings that Christians get.

In Jesus name...Amen".
